SnowPass lets Grades 4 and 5 ski for free
The annual SnowPass program that allows fifth graders to ski for free in participating resorts has been expanded to include Grade 4 students, announced the Canadian Ski Council (CSC). The program encourages children and their families to have fun outdoors and stay active, said Colin Chedore, President of CSC. "This year we're very excited to include fourth graders in our program. We hope to see many more students and their families out there on the slopes!" Eligible students must fill out an application form to receive their SnowPass booklet, which can be used as early as Dec. 1. Students will receive an Eastern or Western booklet depending on where they live. The pass provides up to three free lift tickets at each of the over 150 ski and snowboard areas in the country-56 from Manitoba to B.C. and 97 from Ontario to Newfoundland. It also includes deals on lessons and rentals on 30 participating outlets. The "Tell a Friend" contest enters students' names into a draw when they refer a friend to the program. Prizes include lift tickets, Sport Chek gift certificates, and winter equipment and apparel. Application forms can be picked up from Grades 4 and 5 teachers or at your local Sport Mart, Sport Chek, Sports Experts and Intersport stores. Students can fill out an application form online at www.snowpass.ca or www.passeportdesneiges.ca. |
