| Finish it off right APRIL 2007 — VOLUME 5 ISSUE 4 As the winter season draws to a close, many avid skiers and boarders get ready for those last days of fun in the sun up in the mountains. And this year the fun will last all day and well into the night. Tod Mountain Days, a decades-old tradition, will once again be rocking the hills at Sun Peaks on closing weekend. The Dummy Downhill, 80’s Days, Slush Cup and the famous last run of the year—the Top to Bottoms race—round out the festive happenings at the resort April 6 to 9. Also included this year is a Comedy Festival and a last-day-of-riding fundraiser for the Bluebird Day Fund. Established in memory of Sun Peaks local Bryn Taylor, the Bluebird Day Fund raises funds for youth initiatives in the area and for terrain park projects, and will help support promising young snowboarders with sponsorships. Bottoms Bar and Grill will be hosting double time on April 9 as it hosts the Bluebird Day fundraiser starting in the early afternoon, with live music, DJs, a charity auction and patio specials. And the Top to Bottoms Race, which will once again benefit the Sun Peaks Health Association, traditionally ends at Bottom’s with the ringing of the bell to finish off the season.
